Gems in STEM

There is currently a crisis in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) across Australia:

• less than 7% of girls across Australia study physics and advanced mathematics in year 12;
• less than 11.5% of boys study advanced mathematics in year 12.

In 2018, CMP created the Gems in STEM program to:

• Work with a select group of secondary schools to explain what engineering is and inspire those who may find it to be a rewarding career choice;
• Ensure that every student believes that YOU can be whatever YOU dream to be, if YOU work hard to make YOUR dreams into reality.

CMP Gems in STEM is a program that aims to inspire Senior Secondary Students into a career in STEM. We at Gems in STEM hope that through these amazing programs our young people will be more confident and believe that they can and will be - the future leaders of our professions.
